Coarse Hair

My Ford Corsair 1700 Deluxe

Not many of these around now, but it was one of the first cars to travel up the new road.

Lyminge Pantomime

Hawkinge Parish Council AGM 1999

Just kidding, this pantomime belonged to Lyminge Dramatics Society and it was "Babes in the Wood". Photo taken by Tim Bagley in December 1999.

The best car in the world

Trabant Estate

A car that kept the masses going to work in Eastern Europe. Main problem with the car was that you have to put the petrol into a tank in the engine bay which invariably contains a hot petrol igniting exhaust! Taken in Prerov, Moravia, Czech Republic.

Czech Castle

Snowy Castle

Taken on Friday 13 2001, yup they had snow in the Czech Republic. This is one of many castles that are dotted around the hills of Moravia. This one is between Prerov and Hranice in the Eastern end of the Czech Republic.

Drop out of the sky plane

Aeroflot Jet

Okay, okay, so this is getting sad, but these jets are worth looking at, if nothing else for the noise they make. Besides, until you guys submit some more pictures, this will have to do! I think this is a Tupulov of some kind, taxiing at Prague airport.

ATR 42

ATR 42

This shot was taken at Ostrava airport, Czech Republic. This form of aircraft is particularly popular with many carriers. Czech airlines operates this one and many others on a daily basis.

Dover Castle from the East

Dover Castle

This shot was taken by a visiting Australian, Dave Cotton. It shows the eastern side of the castle, possibly one of the more vulnerable areas for attack.

If you have a photograph or drawing that you would like to share then please drop an e-mail to info@hawkinge.com and I will put it on. The photo can be of anything - you, your family, Hawkinge, a good night out or even one of your child's favourite abstract paintings. If you can send it to me with in JPEG format I can easily add it. Alternatively if you don't have the means of scanning photographs still drop me a line and I could do it for you.
