Visibility in the rain

I have a new windscreen. It has been well cleaned. I have new wiperblades. I have new springs in the wiper arms. Inspite of this I still cannot see through the windscreen when its rains. Coming to work this morning in pouring rain, I came up with the idea that the pressure of the wipers on the screen could be wrong. I have never seen any information about the forces involved. Can anybody provide any help. I am sure many persons have this problem.
