I got in touch with Bosch and I got the following information. The loading pressure on the Bosch wipers should be between 12 and 15 Newtons/cē. This means in real terms about 400 to 500gm. So I pulled the wiper back and found that, gestimating I had much less than 400gm pull so I bent the arm to increase this value. I then went to my TR 6 and tried the same. It was much higher and on my wifes Corsa very high. The Corsa has Bosch wiper blades. The Corsa has no problem. The TR has these floppy lucas things also no problem! It is clear these values are a function of the CW values and the rubber hardness. So there cannot be a direct read across. Since then it has not rained. I do not understand how this rainstuff can help if the screen is absolutely clean and I am still getting smearing.
