I still do not quite understand because people have been telling me for years for gods sake don't get any Silicon on your windscreen it will smear and you cannot get it off. Now everybody is telling me put Silicon, albeit a very thin layer, onto my windscreen. Why does a very thin layer work and does not smear? When the Silocon that one collects on the screen through driving (which also must be very thin) smears?
