Re: Handbrake cable fouling propshaft

OK, so no one else has ever had this problem! So could I ask therefore, what is the normal clearance supposed to be between the prop shaft and the handbrake link? Mine is about 1/4 inch with the handbrake on. If I adjust the handbrake to the proper amount, the slack in the cable then lets the link bounce up and clang on the shaft. If I give the cable more slack, true, it hangs down further away from the shaft, but then on a bigger bump it makes an even bigger clang. Or I can drive with the brakes rubbing and then it makes no noise at all. Has anyone any thoughts on this?
