Hi there,
I have loaded a new discussion forum at http://www.hawkinge.com/triumph2000register/forum/default.asp and would like you all to try it out.
The forum is open to all, but you do have to register, by clicking on the register button at the top, and you will not be able to post topics unless you do so. When registering you will need a valid e-mail address to receiving an e-mail that will allow you to validate your registration. This e-mail is normally sent out as soon as you register as there is no intervention from me.
In the forum you will see a number of different groupings for discussions, i.e. a separate area for E-bay postings, and would welcome any suggestions for either new groups or better names for the current ones.
This forum has a number of improved features over the current one, namely less manual editing of the contents for me, the ability to upload files and pictures, send private messages, be notified of postings etc. Before anyone else says it, yes it will also allow me to have more control over the postings and ban users should they become personal, rude, foul-mouthed etc. On the whole the user base for the current forum has not been like this, which is extremely heartening.
If this forum proves to be reliable and easy enough to use I anticipate replacing the current forum as soon as I can. All existing entries will still be saved for reference, but no more new postings in the current forum will be allowed.
Should you have any questions or difficulties registering then please contact me directly on info@hawkinge.com
Regards,
Matt Nixon, Webmaster.
